For the tenth year in a row, FrankCrum, a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in Clearwater, has been named a Top Workplace in Tampa Bay based on responses from anonymous employee surveys. The Tampa Bay Times conducts the survey every year and includes questions regarding topics like the following:

  • Company values and benefits
  • Connections with managers
  • Confidence in company leaders and future state
  • Cooperation among teams

Comments in those surveys depict FrankCrum as a company that cares about its employees, the clients they serve and the community they live and work in. The 38-year-old family-run business operates with a strong value system based on affinity, prosperity and integrity. Clients and employees stay at FrankCrum because the company values relationships and keeps promises.

At FrankCrum, recruiters look for candidates with high integrity along with smart people who are experts in their respective fields. Employees are paid well, treated with respect and empowered to do their jobs.

“I’ve always been able to hire people better than myself at what they do and just let them do their jobs. My No. 1 priority has always been to do the right thing for the right reason. We’ve never tried to be the biggest or the richest. We’ve just tried to treat our employees and our clients well.”  - Frank Crum, Jr.

Frank Crum, Jr. is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of FrankCrum; his daughter, Haley Crum, serves as Executive Vice President of FrankCrum, as well as President of FrankCrum Staffing; and his son, Matthew Crum, serves as president of Frank Winston Crum Insurance.

“I could have retired five years ago, but I stayed because this is such a great place to work. Management has an open-door policy and they’re always interested in hearing suggestions for how we can make things work better for our clients. There’s just a real family atmosphere.” - Liz Tipton, Payroll Coordinator

It’s no surprise that wholesome values and the feeling of affinity in the workplace make employees feel like family. Other takeaways from this year’s survey comments include the following:

  • Opportunities for growth
  • Strong communication
  • Strong manager-employee relationships
