FrankCrum is proud to announce that the 6th Annual FrankCrum Invitational Golf Tournament raised a record $105,650 for Trinity Cafe; helping the organization realize its goal of a brand-new location debt-free.
The 2013 FrankCrum Invitational was held on February 18th at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club. This year's donation is the highest donation amount in the history of the Tournament.
The funds will be used to purchase food and help pay for the construction of Trinity Cafe's brand-new location at 2801 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa. The much-needed new building will begin serving meals on April 30, allowing the Cafe to serve its guests with increased dignity and comfort.
"It was our goal to move into our new forever home debt-free," says chairman of the board, Jeff Darrey. "With the incredible support of FrankCrum and all of the participating sponsors and attendees of this event, we are able to do so. To say we are grateful is an understatement."
More than five years ago, President and CEO Frank W. Crum, Jr. expressed a desire to host a fundraiser for his favorite charity. Thus, the FrankCrum Invitational was born. Trinity Cafe has been the sole beneficiary of the Tournament since its inception, and it is now a major funding source for the organization. On May 14, representatives from FrankCrum will present a check for the proceeds to Trinity Cafe at the dedication of the Cafe's new building.
"I am honored to support this organization that is so close to my heart. We truly believe in Trinity Cafe's simple mission of feeding people with dignity. The most basic of human needs are sometimes missed, and it is our pleasure at FrankCrum to bring hope to people who really need us most," said Crum. Mr. Crum is also on the Board of Directors of Trinity Cafe.
Broadspire, a Crawford Company, was a presenting sponsor of this year's FrankCrum Invitational.
