Civil Air Patrol Leave
Beginning October 1, 2026, South Carolina requires employers of any size to provide a minimum of:
- Thirty days of leave per calendar year for employees who respond to an emergency service operation of the Civil Air Patrol; and
- Ten days of leave per calendar year for employees who engage in civil air patrol-related training.
Private employers have the option to provide the leave as paid or unpaid.
