Advance Notice for Salary Decreases
The NC DOL has observed an increase in violations of this 2021 law. Just a reminder of the notice requirements for pay reduction. Prior to 2021, state law required 24 hours' notice for compensation decreases. However, the wage and hour law was amended to extend the notice requirement to one full pay period.
