Organ Donor Leave and Bone Marrow Leave
Effective August 1, 2026, Louisiana requires private employers with one or more employees to provide an unpaid leave of absence to employees who donate an organ or bone marrow. The length of the leave must be equal to the time requested by the employee or 30 consecutive calendar days.
