Emotional Support Animal Law
Effective August 4, 2025, Arkansas has amended its emotional support animal law to allow a private property owner to ban an emotional support animal from their property unless prohibited by federal law.
(An emotional support animal under the law means an animal that provides emotional, cognitive, or other similar support to a person with a disability and does not need to be trained or certified.)

Disclosure of Sexual Harassment Claims
Effective August 4, 2025, Arkansas has added to the types of information an employer may disclose to a current or former employee's prospective employer with the employee's written consent:
- Substantiated allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment by the employee; and
- The individual's resignation during a pending investigation of sexual abuse or sexual harassment allegations against the employee.

Veterans Benefits and Services Poster
By August 4, 2025, Arkansas employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees are required to display a poster outlining benefits and services available to veterans. This poster will include information on various veteran-related programs and services, including eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits under state and/or federal law.
Arkansas has not yet released the poster but employers will be able to find it at the link below when ready.
