[Webinar] Construction Safety Best Practices and Training

Written by Greg Andress | Feb 21, 2018 2:00:00 PM

Workplace safety is key no matter what type of business you run. According to OSHA, more than 5,000 workers died on the job in 2016. That’s 14 deaths every day. One of five of them are in construction. The leading causes of construction-related deaths (excluding traffic collisions) are:

  • Falls
  • Struck by object
  • Electrocution
  • Caught in or between

It’s obvious that training is important, but it’s not just the content that matters. The ways in which you conduct the training as just as important as what you teach. To get your message across effectively, you need to capture your employees’ interest and attention.

You’ve probably heard it said that you only have seven seconds to make the right first impression. Your audience will respond favorably or unfavorably to your facial expressions, gestures, stance and energy. Everything matters, from your tone and pitch to your attitude.
