Celebrating Human Resource Professional Day

What is HR Professional Day?

Human Resource Professional Day is celebrated annually on September 26 and is designed to pay tribute to individuals working in HR departments around the world. In celebration of the day, we’d like to recognize and celebrate HR professionals, as they play an integral role in ensuring organizational success.

The role of human resources has evolved, and today, HR professionals seemingly do it all. The profession is one to applaud (and we’re not just saying that because of our rockstar HR teams here at FrankCrum).

Beyond recruiting and onboarding, payroll processing, and benefits administration, HR professionals serve as leaders of change. They are nurturers and developers of human capital, risk management specialists, and employee retention experts. They’re Employee Appreciation Day planners and morale boosters, but they’re responsible for the uncomfortable aspects of people management as well, such as handling HR violations, workplace misconduct incidents, and employee terminations. Talk about being well-rounded!

Human Resources at FrankCrum

As a Professional Employer Organization, FrankCrum handles various HR services for our clients. We also have about 450 employees here at FrankCrum corporate. Therefore, FrankCrum has two dedicated HR teams to serve employees and clients best: our internal HR department and our FrankAdvice team, which provides our clients with HR and regulatory guidance.

FrankCrum’s Internal HR Team

Our internal HR department may appear relatively small, considering it is responsible for hundreds of employees. Though small, the team is mighty in knowledge and expertise! The HR team is, at its core, quite literally, a resource for humans.

Some of our internal HR team’s responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Fostering a safe work environment
  • Managing employee relations
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Administering payroll
  • Managing compensation and benefits packages
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Overseeing training programs
  • Supporting employee development
  • Providing employees with resources and assistance

The FrankAdvice Team

Our FrankAdvice team is comprised of experienced and credentialed HR experts. They provide guidance to our clients on a full range of HR topics and help with best practices for the employment life cycle. The FrankAdvice team tailors solutions so employers can effectively manage their workforce and provides tools to help maintain legal compliance.

 The FrankAdvice team provides: 

  • Fast, courteous, and accurate responses to complex and everyday HR issues, questions or needs
  • Review of key HR practices to have in place
  • Research and policy development
  • Information on changes in employment laws and trends
  • Performance management and corrective action
  • Handbooks and Job Descriptions
  • Training on important topics
